What You Need To Know About Kitchen Bar Stools
Installing a counter or breakfast bar into your kitchen is an excellent design feature that creates a modern eating area simply and effectively. Dressed with the right kitchen bar stools, they can really look stunning; quite apart from being a practical and comfortable place to eat at.
Installing both counter and stools at the same time is the best way forward of course, but stools can be added separately if necessary. If doing this though, it is important to check all measurements and style thoroughly to ensure it all works well.
The most important thing to get right is the height of the stools of course. Not enough space between the seat and the counter top will render them all but useless of course; whilst anything too short won't work either. Whilst many forms of stool are adjustable, getting this right is certainly the case with wooden types.
A standard height is about thirty to thirty-two inches or so, though this is something that varies. Many are available that also have adjustable foot rests; which can be extremely useful for use by children.
As well as a number of different types, there are a host of styles too. Some time should be spent deciding which of these will fit into the space most effectively.
If you have gone for a modern styled counter, and your kitchen is full of all the latest gadgetry and appliances; something engineered from aluminum or stainless steel would be ideal. These are fantastic pieces, with ergonomic seat pads and effortless hydraulic controls to adjust seat height and so forth.
If you have a smaller budget however, similar types are available made from plastics and composites. These produce much the same feel as their more expensive counterparts; though may show wear and tear a little more readily through continuous use.
For a more homely feel, perhaps in a country kitchen or some such, wooden stools will be ideal. These are more likely to have armrests and backrests to them as well; which may be better for some. Comfortable too; this can be further increased with cushions which will also add to the overall appeal of course.
Whichever style and material you choose is best for you; you should also ensure it is going to stand up to constant use. Your kitchen bar stools should also be practical of course, and thus easy to clean of any spillages which will likely occur from time to time.
